If you’ve never been to Blackwood Farm Park in Hillsborough, NC, let me tell you—it’s a quiet, beautiful little spot that feels like stepping into a slower rhythm.
It’s one of my favorite places to photograph families and couples. The wide-open fields, the soft light, the old barns and fences… everything about it invites you to slow down and just be. And that’s where the magic happens.
Kids can run wild in the tall grass. Parents can scoop them up and twirl. Couples can walk hand-in-hand under the trees or pause for a quiet moment in the sun. There’s so much space to move and breathe, and nothing feels too polished or perfect—which I love. It’s all about real connection and natural beauty.
The light in the evening is especially lovely—warm and golden and dreamy. It wraps around everything and gives your photos that soft, glowing feel. You don’t need much else when you’ve got that kind of light and love in front of the camera.
So if you’re looking for a spot in Hillsborough that feels peaceful, open, and full of heart, Blackwood Farm Park is such a sweet place to make some memories.
