Raleigh family photographer — lifestyle session.

 Raleigh Family Photographer & filmmaker

If you’re searching for a Raleigh family photographer who will skip the stiff poses and actually capture your family the way it feels—you’re in the right place. I’m Katrina Williams, a Durham-based photographer and filmmaker serving Raleigh and the greater Triangle. I specialize in lifestyle family photography, cinematic family films, and natural newborn photography. My sessions are relaxed, real, and built around genuine connection—not a checklist of shots.

Photographing Raleigh Families Across the Triangle

Raleigh is a city that’s growing fast but still feels like home—and the families here reflect that. I’ve worked with Raleigh families at golden hour in Dorothea Dix Park, in the shade of Pullen Park on a Tuesday afternoon, and in beautiful North Hills homes where kids run the show. Whether you’ve lived in Raleigh your whole life or just moved here for a new chapter, your story belongs in photographs. I travel throughout the Triangle and I’m always happy to come to you.

More Than a Photographer—Your Family’s Storyteller

Fifty Two Hundred Photography was born from a deeply personal experience—my son’s time on the bone marrow transplant unit at Duke University Hospital (unit 5200). That chapter of our lives changed the way I look at everything, especially the ordinary moments of family life. I photograph families with the belief that the everyday stuff—the messy house, the little voices, the way your kids still want to be held—is exactly what’s worth saving. Voted Best of Durham 2023–2026 and featured by Adobe Creative Cloud.

A Few of My Favorite Things About Photographing Raleigh Families

Raleigh is a city in the middle of becoming something, and the families here reflect that energy — ambitious and warm, rooted and wide open. I’ve photographed Raleigh families at golden hour in Dorothea Dix, where the light spreads across the meadow in a way that makes everything feel a little more cinematic. I’ve photographed in Pullen Park on a Tuesday afternoon when we practically had the place to ourselves. And I’ve worked in gorgeous North Hills homes where kids run the show and parents finally get to exhale. Wherever you are in Raleigh, your story belongs in photographs.

“We are in love with our photos from Fifty Two Hundred! Katrina made the entire

process feel so personal from start to finish. She did an amazing job making us all

feel comfortable — it was such an important time for our family to disconnect in a

natural way. Katrina genuinely cares about everything I mentioned I was hoping to

capture. We have memories we will cherish forever and can’t wait to work with

Fifty Two Hundred again!”
