There’s a moment that happens at every great corporate event — somewhere between the first latte and the second conversation — when people stop performing and just start being. That’s the moment I’m always chasing. And this past March at Longfellow’s Triangle LIFE campus in Raleigh, it happened early.

The Space

Triangle LIFE is an 806,000 square foot innovation campus adjacent to Research Triangle Park, home to 30 leading life sciences and technology companies. The Hue — the campus’ 7,000 square foot amenity center — was where the event unfolded: a coffee bar in the corner, spring flowers on every table, a sunglasses station that had people laughing from the moment they walked in, and lab space visible through the windows reminding everyone exactly where they were and what they were part of.

It’s a space that tells a story before anyone says a word. That makes my job easier — and a lot more fun.

The People

Conversations were happening everywhere. Real ones. The kind where people lean in, gesture with their coffee cups, and forget there’s a photographer in the room. That’s what I’m here to document — not poses, but presence.

These are the images that end up in pitch decks and recruiting pages and “who we are” posts. Not because they’re staged, but because they’re true.
